Dr. Renuka S. Gubbewad, born on 14 March 1978 in Bijapur, Karnataka, is an accomplished legal academic with extensive teaching and administrative experience. She holds a B.Sc. (1997), LL.B. (2001), LL.M. (2004), and Ph.D. (2017) from Gulbarga University. Beginning her career as a part-time lecturer at HKE’s SSL Law College (2005–2008), she later served as guest faculty at Gulbarga University (2008–2013) and Assistant Professor at HKE’s SSL Law College (2008–2017). Since 2017, she has been Vice Principal of the same institution and also serves as Assistant Director for Childline Nodal Centre 1098 and Wadi Railway Childline. Dr. Gubbewad has published 10 papers in peer-reviewed journals, completed two UGC-sponsored projects, and delivered over 30 invited lectures and presentations. She has coordinated NAAC, IQAC, and institutional events, besides mentoring students in national moot court competitions. Her expertise spans teaching, research, institutional leadership, and child protection initiatives.
