Dr. Basavaraj M. Kubakaddi is presently working as, Head of the Department of Law and Dean of the School of Legal Studies at the Central University of Karnataka. He did LL.M from the Karnataka University, Dharwad. He Pursued Ph.D. from the University of Mysore. He served as Assistant Professor at S.C.Nandimath Law College Bagalkot since 23 September 2009 to 28 November 2019. He Published more than 20 Articles in different reputed Journals. He has presented more than 30 research papers at different national and international conferences/Seminars. He worked as the member of the Board of Examiners of Karnataka State Law University, Hubballi. He received the Gender and Law Lawyers Fellowship Award by Global Rights: Partners for Justice in April 2005-06. He also received the Best Supporting Faculty Award by LEAD - Deshpande Foundation, Hubballi in 2018. He received the Best Teacher Award by Institute of Scholars. He acted as a Member of the Juvenile Justice Board (26th Sep 2017 – 28th Nov 2019) and Child Welfare Committee (July 2014 – Sep 2017) of Bagalkot Dist., which were constituted under the Provisions of JJ Act 2015/ JJ Act,2000, respectively, which was an appointment by the Hon’ble Governor of Karnataka. He was a member of the District Implementation Committee of the Sarva Shikshana Abhiyan Education Department, Government of Karnataka (2010 - 2013).
Presently he is a member of The Court, Member of the Executive Council, Member of the Academic Council, Central University of Karnataka and Chairman of the Board of Studies at the Department of Law.
