Prof. Battu Satyanarayana was born at Bommakal Village, Karimnagar district, Telangana State. He has obtained his M.Sc and Ph.D degrees from Osmania University. He got CSIR JRF through the examination conducted by CSIR. He served as a Lecturer at Indira Gandhi National University, New Delhi, Assistant Professor, Associate Professor and Professor in the department of Chemistry, Osmania University, Hyderabad. He has 32 years of experience at UG and PG teaching and 36 years of Research experience.

His area of research includes Coordination Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Catalysis, Bio-inorganic chemistry, Nano-materials and Environmental Chemistry. He has guided 18 students for their Ph.D. degree. He has published 80 research papers in Peer reviewed journals. He has carried out several research projects and presented papers at national and international conferences. He delivered several key note addresses and lectures at seminars/ conferences.

He is a life member of Indian Science Congress Association and a Annual Member of Indian Chemical Society. He is a member of Voluntary Educational Societies such as Osmania Graduation Association, Hyderabad, Vijaya Nagar Vidya Samithi, Hyderabad, Sri Saraswathi Vidya Peetham, Telangana State. He has organized workshops to train employees of HMWS&SB on analysis of water. He is a resource person for UGC-HRDC of several Universities for Orientation and Refresher Courses and also FDP of affiliated Colleges.

Dr. R. R. Biradar is currently serving as the Registrar, Central University of Karnataka, Kalaburagi since 4th July 2023. He completed his BA in 1992, MA in 1994, M. Phil in 1996 and Ph. D. in 2006 from Karnatak University, Dharwad.

He started his career as Field Investigator in CMDR Dharwad in 1996 and worked as Research Officer at the Institute for Social and Economic Change (ISEC), Bengaluru during 19971999. Later, he joined as Lecture in Economics at the Dept of Economics, K U Dharwad in 1999 and became Associate Professor in 2012 and Professor in 2015.

He was also the Chairman of the Department of Economics, K U Dharwad during 2018 to 2020 during which he has made the Department more vibrant. Under his chairmanship, he has set up the Dr. D. M. Nanjundappa Centre for Applied Research in Economics (CARE) in 2018 with the financial aid of K U Dharwad. He also worked as the Co-ordinator of the Canara Bank Chair during 2015 to 2018. He also served the In-charge Deputy Registrar and Finance Officer in K U Dharwad during 2017-18 and 2020-21, respectively.

Under his guidance, 10 Ph. D and 7 M. Phil degrees have been awarded and 8 are working for the Ph D degree. He has completed13 major research projects on the issue relating to farmers’ suicide, farm ponds, micro finance, poverty, non-agricultural employment, human development, NGOs.

He has presented more than 115 research papers at the state and national level conference and 8 international conferences. He has delivered more than 136 special lectures on the contemporary issues at the UGC-HRDC, Government First Grade Colleges and Universities within and outside the state.
